Balboa Peninsula Beach is a long beach that runs from Peninsula Park south to the end of the Peninsula, which is across the channel from Corona del Mar State Beach.
The south end of Balboa Peninsula Beach is where you will find the popular surf area known as The Wedge. This is where the waves hit the jetty producing some amazing swells and spectacular surf opportunities.
There is a paved boardwalk that runs from here all the way past the Newport Pier.
Parking is along Balboa Boulevard and Ocean Boulevard and there is a parking lot at Peninsula Park.
